TimeShift for X-Box
Atari sends Xbox gamers though space and time with the world’s first Chrononaut Michael Swift as he travels back to 1911 on a secret mission and ends up changing the world of 2007 in ways he never imagined. Players step into the role of Swift as he goes back to 1911 to complete a special Chrononaut mission. However, he accidentally changes too much, and upon his return to 2007, he finds evil warlord Krone in power. Somehow, Swift must undo his mistakes and take Krone down. The game takes players and Swift across the world and eventually ends in a war-torn Washington, DC, the seat of Krone’s new global empire. While the game is mainly a first-person shooter, Swift has more than just an arsenal of weapons at his disposal. He also has his time travel suit, which allows him to manipulate time. He can slow down, pause, and rewind events as he sees fit, or at least until the suit’s power runs out. While manipulating time, Swift is invulnerable to attack, allowing players to make use of this power to get around enemies and other obstacles. Of course, Swift will have access to more traditional weapons like pistols, machine guns, and rocket launchers to do heavy damage when stopping time isn’t an option. Gamers who love unique sci-fi storylines will love the plot of TIMESHIFT. The first-person shooter gamer, too, will enjoy the game, especially the twist of time manipulation.
