EA Sports is back on the court with the college hoops game NCAA MARCH MADNESS 06 for the Xbox. Featuring a huge number of college basketball teams, players, and new features, sports gamers will find the spirit of March Madness perfectly captured in the game. The 2006 version of NCAA MARCH MADNESS features several new tweaks to the gameplay. The first is the lockdown stick. Players can lock their defender to the ball handler with a few quick taps of the controller. This stops the player with the ball from going forward, allowing the defender to more aggressively try to steal the ball while the other player must try to change direction, spin, or pass. The gameplay modes feature a few new tweaks, as well. Dynasty mode now allows gamers to anticipate what seed they will draw in upcoming tournaments or, if their team isn’t performing so well, if they will even be invited to tournaments. As the coach, players can gain and spend dynasty points on new plays or to generate scouting reports. After each game, players will also be evaluated on how well the team performed certain plays, allowing players to see what their team needs to work on.
