Fans of the METAL SLUG games can stop searching arcades for the game. SNK has brought METAL SLUG 4 and 5 to the Xbox in METAL SLUG 4 & 5 COMBO, which includes the full 2-D shooter arcade versions of both action games. The METAL SLUG series revolves around players selecting one of four characters and then, basically, blowing things up. Each level has players using machine guns, rockets, lasers, and other weapons to destroy soldiers, pirates, planes, and even yetis. In some levels, players will find slugs, powerful vehicles that cause much more damage while deflecting enemy attacks. Different slugs are available, including tank slugs, plane slugs, and sub slugs. In METAL SLUG 4, a cyber-terrorist group has unleashed a deadly virus into the internet that has taken over the military computers of the world. Marco and Fio are joined by new recruits Trevor and Nadia to stop the cyber-terrorist group before they start a war. METAL SLUG 5 sends Marco, Fio, Tarma, and Eri chasing after thieves who have stolen a disc containing METAL SLUG secrets. The group has to survive the Corridor of Fire and defeat the powerful Ptolemaic Army before their own plans are used against them.
